Random conversation (is there any other kind when a four-year-old is involved?) in the car yesterday:
Miriam (out of the blue): Soup is for spoons, and noodles are for forks!
Mrs. P: What are knives for?
Miriam: Cutting.
Mrs. P: What do we use to eat cereal?
Miriam: Spoons!
Mrs. P: What do we use to eat sandwiches?
Miriam (without missing a beat): Fingers!
Mrs. P (searching for something interesting, but coming up with): What do we use to eat potatoes?
Miriam (again, without missing a beat): I don't like potatoes. They're asgusting.
