So, yeah, it blizzarded (is that a word?) here in the great Commonwealth of Virginia. And because we are south of the Mason-Dixon line, the department of transportation officially doesn't know how to deal with real winter weather. As you've already seen from news reports, DC pretty much shut down for several days. Schools were closed; the Federal Government was closed; the Metro was only open underground for a while. It felt like a page from Katy and the Big Snow.
