Just helpin' Dad with the yard work...
Note to aspiring gardeners: hedge trimmers are sharp!
A quick trip to the ER and a good dose of advil later, and she's all patched up! Her poor finger looks like a cactus from all the stitches, but the doctor said WARNING WARNING DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS SENTENCE there was enough "meat" on the flap of skin that it should heal up nicely. She will have a smiley face scar on her finger tip, though, so we'll have fun with that. :)

Mom, it was your idea to do the pouty face, I was originally smiling but you told me to do the meeeeep face. Yes it does make it funnier though. ;)

Oh, Jenny, that's so scary! Poor Miriam. Prayers for speedy recovery. Rachel. P.S. You may enjoy the Jimmy Fallon clip in YouTube of his recent serious finger injury. Brenda had me watch it when I visited her.

DeleteI'm glad we don't have to call her "Miriam the Nine-Fingered"! Obviously, with her injury it will be impossible for her to wash dishes or do any housework for months. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaha -- it's only a week, actually. (which is quite long enough in this household -- what will I do without her!) She also can't go swimming, which is very sad. :(
